Minister of Defence Launches PSPN
& RTKP 2026–2030

Strengthening Malaysia's defence readiness, capability and resilience for a secure and future-ready nation.

The Minister of Defence, YB Dato' Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin, officiated the launch of the National Defence Strategic Plan (PSPN) 2026–2030 and the Defence Capacity Action Framework (RTKP) 2026–2030, reaffirming the Ministry of Defence's commitment to strengthening Malaysia's defence preparedness, capability and resilience.

These two strategic documents will serve as the nation's defence roadmap for the next five years, providing clear direction to address an increasingly complex and dynamic global security environment.

The PSPN 2026–2030 is developed in line with the aspirations of the Defence White Paper, the 13th Malaysia Plan and the National Security Policy. It outlines:

  • 7 strategic pillars

  • 29 key strategies

  • 103 targeted initiatives

Together, these measures will enhance Malaysia's defence capabilities and ensure a more integrated and future-ready defence ecosystem.

Complementing the PSPN, the RTKP 2026–2030 focuses on strengthening defence human capital through three key priorities:

  • Enhancing defence workforce effectiveness

  • Fostering patriotism and national resilience

  • Developing talent in science, technology and the defence industry

Together, the PSPN and RTKP reinforce the Ministry of Defence's long-term vision of building a resilient, capable and adaptive defence sector that is prepared to safeguard Malaysia's sovereignty and national interests for generations to come.
